Kamkarha Interior Renovation is the revitalization of a residential unit on Kamkarha Alley in Jordan neighborhood, designed to respond to the needs of the client. The key requests included integrating the living area, removing an extra room, enlarging the windows, and enhancing the view of an underwhelming patio to bring more light and a distinct spatial quality to the interior.
A porous shelving element mediates between the private quarters and the living space, creating a fluid and permeable boundary—one that neither rigidly divides the plan nor dissolves the spatial hierarchy. Instead of a solid wall, this feature allows the passage of light, sight, and conversation.
Postmodern references appear in the forms and detailing, steering the project away from a purely modern renovation and giving it an architectural edge. The considered use of color adds a layer of vibrancy and spatial depth, keeping the home far from monotony while imbuing it with a warm, dynamic, and contemporary identity.
